Alfred Ulmer (1916-2000) was an OSS and CIA officer who served as chief of stations in Vienna, Madrid, Athens and Paris. As head of the Fast East Division from 1955 until 1958, he was a central player in the failed attempt to overthrow Indonesia’s President Sukarno in 1958.
