The Directorate of Support is a CIA component with responsibility for a variety of ancillary functions, including 'security, supply chains, facilities, financial and medical services, business systems, human resources, and logistics' (Ref 1).
For much of the CIA's history this was the role of the Directorate of Administration, which was abolished in the early 2000s, with its functions dispersed. It was reconstituted in 2005 as the Directorate of Support (ref 2).
