John Colvin (1922-2003) was an MI6 officer.

Early life
Colvin was born on 16 June 1922 in Tokyo, the son of Admiral Sir Ragnar Colvin, of a distinguished family of Indian civil servants. He was educate at St Aubyn's school, and the Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, which he entered as a cadet in 1935 (ref 2).
