Roscoe Henry Hillenkoetter (1897-1982) was Director of Central Intelligence (DCI) from 1 May 1947 to 7 October 1950 (ref 1, p.23). In that position, he headed the Central Intelligence Group until 23 November 1947, and thereafter the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) (ref 1, p.23).
