Blaise Metreweli is the director designate of the British Secret Intelligence Service, SIS or MI6. The first woman appointed to the position, she is due to succeed Richard Moore on 1 October 2025.1 Her appointment likely reflects the increasing prominence of state threats, about which she gave an anonymous interview to the Telegraph while serving as MI5 Director K in 2021.2
