The Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS or VAJA) is an Iranian intelligence organisation.
According to the New York Times, the Ministry ‘has a reputation as an analytical and professional agency, but it is overshadowed and often overruled by its more ideological counterpart, the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ (IRGC).1
