Former CIA counterintelligence head James Olson refused to answer what his first assignment was in an interview with The Team House, and he joined the CIA after law school circa 1970, and so I've always wondered if CHAOS was the assignment he refused to acknowledge.

Among the CIA's "family Jewels" lies the crown jewel: the blood diamond that was the "Big Event." (Their term, not mine).

Before the JFK assassination I was set up to witness a CIA airplane (Tiger Airlines logo on the side) that transported my duo, Jim and Jean from LA to Mobile and back just for our White Rose publicity shot for the Hollywood Hootenanny Tour which was secretly used with extra buses for the mobile part of the Plot. Decades ago when the Air Force internet site contained history, it included a short section that wrote: Tiger Airlines was a Domestic CIA airline. E Howard Hunt testified that during the Assassination he was working with the CIA Domestic Operations Division and in another comment that the plot was a very mobile affair. Over the years i have reported this and more to the authorities and my FBI reports have not been released as I named names including Hoover and Bush.

Whether or not the Domestic Operations Division separate from the Domestic Contacts Division was part of Counter Intelligence or not, it would certainly have been known to Angleton, Dulles, Hoover and more for the Cointel Operations, CIA, FBI operations. Look up Jim Glover, Phil Ochs JFK for more: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiWR2y6pjlc&t=1s

To what extent do you think the finger pointing to foreign powers was/is mere misdirection? To me, it seems likely, though not an absolute certainty.

It's always easy to make a plausible case for covert action. In the case of the student protests, there have been allegations linking them to Putin and to Soros, which seem like competing hypotheses.

Even where covert action is involved, one of the principles of the discipline is to exploit existing divisions, so it's a mistake to see it as the cause of those divisions. To that extent, I think a lot of scholars in the field would agree with the Foreign Policy authors. See e.g. Rory Cormac. https://twitter.com/RoryCormac/status/1759143900231471550

Misdirection yes, but likely no great plot - the state doesn’t need great plots since the general public is so conditioned to hearing these “theories” from useful politicians like Biden and Pelosi. I would love to hear more about ongoing “Mockingbird” operations in the C21st, I’m sure there are connections with Chaos.

Thanks for a great find, Jeff.

Interesting... But Joe Biden hasn't for 10 seconds of his life, had a "progressive" record. Nor had Johnson. It's this bizarre distortion of American politicians that makes analysis borderline useless. Joe Biden's policy is the neoconservative policy of the '90s and 2000's. Just like Johnson's policy was not remotely close to that of Kennedy. Both men were warmongers top to bottom. Both men were installed because of the fact that they were warmongers.

They keep spewing the same smears and disinformation about protesters, generation after generation. Good news is, it seems a lot of the public is on to this tactic now.

Yes, this is choreographed. But not by Russia.
